Representative Olin Teague of Texas, 1974-1977; unsuccessful candidate for
nomination to the Ninety-sixth Congress in 1978; business executive; member of
the Texas state senate, 1983-1990; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred
Second and to the nine succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1991-present).
