The main thing you need to know about me is that Jesus Christ changed my life. I am not the person I was. I am by no means perfect, but God is shaping and molding me into what he created me to be. I have admitted that I cannot have peace with God or salvation by myself. I understand that as a creature that is prone to sin, I am in need of a savior to keep me from an eternity in hell away from the God who created me and loves me. I trust that God sent his son Jesus, to take the punishment that I deserved. He was perfect and without sin. He died in my place. He paid the blood debt that I owe, so that he could redeem my life from the punishment that I earned and would be required to pay. I did not earn it or pay for it. He did it because he loves me. I do not think I will ever understand why he loves me, but I get a picture of it with my kids. When they disobey, I still love them even though I do not always like what they do. There is nothing my kids can do to earn my love or lose it. It is something they get as part of the package. It is the same with God. John 3:16 is more than a reference to a verse you see at a football game. It is a promise and declaration. It holds hope for fallen man. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Romans 10:9-11 If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." I continue to walk with Jesus and learn to be more like him. Trials come and they are usually not fun, but at the same time, that is how we grow. I am not the man I used to be. I still wish I was where I am supposed to be, but God is merciful and patient with me. He loves me. I cannot understand that, but I accept it. God can do the same for you! Just ask him to. If you want to chat about this some time, I would consider it an honor to do so!
